Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, seeks a Critical Care Technician to support the ICU and Emergency Department teams. This full-time role includes three 12-hour shifts and a variable schedule to cover days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include responding to patient care needs, performing EKG duties, restraining patients as directed, assisting with transfers, and maintaining supplies.

Qualifications

• Current CNA or EMT Certification in state of practice -OR- Medical Assistant (MA) Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).
• High School diploma or GED in compliance with CLIA regulations.
• Written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient care needs by answering call lights and assisting with hygiene care.
• Take vital signs and document findings for the care team.
• Perform 12-lead EKG duties and other tasks within training/competency.
• Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges with safe handling.
• Order and maintain unit supplies and perform unit secretary duties.
