Job summary

Ogden Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled ICU nurse to provide critical care in our intensive care unit. You will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching abilities, and a commitment to high-quality patient care within a collaborative team.

The role requires prioritizing care for critically ill patients, monitoring patients, assisting in procedures, and coordinating care plans while maintaining composure under pressure.

Qualifications

• Current Utah State RN license in good standing.
• Associate’s degree.
• BLS or BCLS certification required or preferred; must obtain within 7 days of hire and maintain.
• ACLS or ALS certification required or preferred; must obtain within 90 days of hire and maintain.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize nursing care for assigned critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment, critical thinking and teaching skills.
• Evaluate and document patient responses to medications and interventions.
• Formulate and coordinate the Plan of Care based on individual needs.
• Monitor EKG rhythms and intervene as needed.
• Assist physicians with procedures (intubation, line placement, chest tubes).
• Ensure ventilators, monitors and equipment function properly and troubleshoot alarms.
• Remain flexible, organized and able to work under stress.
• Collaborate with the critical care team.
