Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, is seeking a Full-time Critical Care Technician for the ICU. The role supports patient care teams in critical care and emergency units, under supervision of licensed professionals. Three 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with a varied schedule.

Qualifications

• Current CNA or EMT certification in state of practice or MA certification from an accredited program.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).
• High School diploma or GED as per CLIA regulations.
• Written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient care needs by answering call lights, assisting with hygiene, obtaining vital signs, and communicating with the care team.
• Performs 12-lead EKG duties and other tasks within training scope.
• Applies, checks, and documents restraints as directed by RN or physician.
• Assists with transfers, admissions, and discharges with safe patient handling.
• Manages office and patient care floor stock and performs unit secretary duties.
• Records patient care findings timely and seeks help for changes in condition.
• Assists with emergency resuscitation and setup for line insertion and supplies retrieval.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients and families.
• Collaborates with RNs and interdisciplinary team to meet unit and patient needs.
• Adheres to infection prevention standards and Intermountain Health values.
