Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Reno, NV is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to undertake a dual clinical and managerial role in a busy acute care environment. You will provide direct and indirect patient care, participate in hiring and termination decisions, and communicate patient status with physicians and the Nurse Manager.

This position requires active RN licensure, current BLS and ACLS, and at least three years of nursing experience. TNCC and ENPC are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Current BLS, ACLS.
• Current TNCC and ENPC certification, preferred.
• Three years nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates supportive behaviors necessary for bedside report using IMAP & SBAR (both accomplished in partnership with patient inside room)
• Competent in the care of patients within the specialty area.
• Provides direct and indirect patient care as necessary, assessing current patient care situations, priorities and needs.
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes: geriatric and the general patient population.
