UCI Health in California is seeking a clinical nurse to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and develop comprehensive care plans for a defined patient group. The role emphasizes evidence-based nursing practice, discharge planning, and mentoring new staff and students on the unit.

The successful candidate will have ICU experience, a BSN, and be able to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years ICU nursing experience or completion of UC Irvine Medical Center Clinical Nurse I ICU orientation
• All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Responsabilidades

• Collaborates with healthcare team to coordinate care and ensure safe, high-quality patient care
• Acts as a role model and mentor to students and new nurses on the unit
• Develops and implements teaching and discharge plans for patients and families
• Administers medications, monitors patient status, and escalates issues as needed
