Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• 2 years ICU experience or completion of ICU orientation.
• PALS certification within 6 months.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a plan of care.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and readiness for discharge; revise plan as needed.
• Mentor students and nurses new to the unit; act as PCC as requested by supervisor.
• Provide patient advocacy throughout the continuum of care.
• Maintain compliance with unit standards and regulatory requirements.
