Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider or Physician Assistant to join the Medical Intensive Care Unit in Milwaukee. You will collaborate with pulmonary & critical care faculty, participate in daily rounds, and deliver high-level critical care from admission through transfer, within a multidisciplinary team.

Required credentials include Wisconsin APRN or PA licensure, BLS/ACLS, and appropriate board certification.

Qualifications

• Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant with ICU critical care experience preferred.
• Credentials and licensure in Wisconsin required.
• DEA eligibility and board certifications appropriate to role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with pulmonary & critical care faculty within a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate clinical competence and critical decision-making in care of critically ill patients.
• Lead daily rounds with Attending Intensivist team and present 24-hour reports.
• Provide exceptional care for Medical Intensive Care Unit patients.

Education

Master's Degree or higher in Nursing (APRN)

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies

BLS

ACLS

DEA eligibility

Wisconsin APRN License

Wisconsin RN License

Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP/NP)

Wisconsin Physician Assistant License

Certification by NCCPA
