The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Trauma and Acute Care Surgery program is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialty inpatient care on weekends at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. The Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support ICU rounds, patient care plans, and quality improvement initiatives.

Required: 2 years of experience; Wisconsin RN or APN license and relevant certifications; ACLS/BLS; ATLS within 6 months.

Qualificações

• 2 years of experience required.
• 3-4 years of experience in trauma surgery, critical care, or acute care surgery preferred.
• Advanced Practice Nurse: Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
• Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC‑PA‑accredited organization.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborates with interdisciplinary health care teams in diagnosis and treatment of conditions requiring surgical intervention in inpatient environment as a member of the Surgical ICU team.
• Writes accurate and timely progress notes, procedure notes, and/or admission and transfer orders.
• Order, perform, and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures and tests, and appropriately communicate and document information.
• Privileged to perform procedures beyond core as identified by the surgical critical care surgery services.
• Attends required training and meets key regulatory requirements, including those of the privileging institution, CMS, and the Joint Commission.
