Job summary

University Medical Associates (UMA) is seeking an ICU Advanced Practice Provider to join the critical care team. The APP will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, coordinate invasive procedures, and help discharge planning within an interprofessional ICU.

13-hour shifts with weekend coverage, full-time, salaried, 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate completed an accredited PA or NP program and is licensed or eligible; BLS and ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited PA or NP program with licensure or eligibility.
• Licensure as PA-C or APRN according to scope of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ICU patient care with comprehensive assessment and management.
• Perform procedures and coordinate peri-procedural care per privileges.
• Lead discharge planning and coordinate with interprofessional teams.
• Document care, engage in quality & performance improvements, and research.
