ICT (In-Circuit Test) Test Technician (2nd or 3rd shift)

Nidec Mobility America Corporation (NMOA) has an immediate opening for an energetic and focused ICT Test Technician at our St. Charles, IL location. The position is for 2nd shift (2:30 PM - 10:30 PM) or 3rd shift (approximately 9:30 PM - 5:45 AM), with overtime available on Saturdays and some Sundays.

We are a leading designer and manufacturer of automotive electronic sensing and control technology, including power systems, user interfaces, switches, and instrument panels.

Objective

Under the general direction of the Manufacturing Process Engineering Group Manager, ensure ICT failures are analyzed, root causes identified, and corrective actions implemented.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection and electrical testing of ICT failures, identifying root causes based on output files and multimeter/bridge readings.
• Identify soldering issues on failed boards according to IPC-610 standards.
• Fix issues or instruct inspectors on repairs.
• Record failure reasons in the ICT test database.
• Set up ICT machines to run failed boards.
• Analyze ICT yield data and recommend corrective actions.
• Generate weekly reports on ICT rework and work-in-process levels.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in cross-training activities.
• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
• Notify supervisors of problems or nonconforming products.
• Support environmental policies related to work activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing analysis/inspection roles.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting electronic circuits.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Excel.
• 3+ years of solder inspection and repair experience.
• Ability to read circuit diagrams.
