Amazon, a leading cloud and data‑center provider, seeks an ICT Design Engineer for its Global Infrastructure. You will design critical communications pathways, spaces, and cabling within data centers, accelerating time to market and driving professional growth.

You will join a global team of architects and engineers, focusing on scalable ICT pathways and installation readiness to support world‑class capacity at the lowest cost.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years ICT design experience in mission-critical environments.
• At least 5 years of working with fiber‑optic components, cabling, and interconnect products.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• BICSI RCDD certification or an internationally recognised equivalent (e.g., CDCDP, DCDC).

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of scalable fiber‑optic & copper plant designs and specifications.
• Review and approve ICT pathway, cabling, and equipment submittals.
• Identify and respond to risks and high‑priority issues rapidly and effectively.
• Support new technology and design activities that improve infrastructure quality, reduce cost and installation time.
• Travel 20% or more to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors at AWS’ data centres.
• Contribute creative, out‑of‑the‑box solutions.
