Job summary

Amazon is seeking an ICT Design Engineer to join a global engineering team responsible for design, planning, and operation of AWS data center infrastructure. You will develop pathway, cabling, and space designs, review submittals, and work with suppliers to define product requirements.

Travel up to 10% to review projects; experience with construction drawings and AutoCAD/Revit is preferred; strong MS Office skills and a data center facilities background are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and editing construction documents such as design drawings and specifications.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering for mission critical facilities like data centers.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely delivery of ICT pathway, cabling, and equipment designs and specs.
• Review ICT pathway, cabling, and equipment submittals.
• Identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues rapidly.
• Support design activities that improve infrastructure quality and reduce cost/time.
• Travel 10+% to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and suppliers to define product requirements.
