Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks an ICT Design Engineer to join a global engineering team focused on the physical layer for AWS data centers.

You will develop pathway, space, and cabling designs, and work with industry suppliers to define product requirements and explore emerging technologies. In this role you’ll collaborate with architects and other engineers to deliver scalable, cost-effective infrastructure solutions that meet high safety and reliability standards, while supporting continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• Experience in commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scalable fiber optic & copper plant designs and specifications.
• Review ICT pathway, cabling and equipment submittals.
• Identify risks and respond rapidly to issues.
• Support design activities to improve infrastructure quality and reduce cost and installation time.
• Travel 20+% to AWS Data Centers to review projects.
