Job summary
Socket.dev is seeking an ICS Automation Specialist II to perform advanced PLC and OIT programming, modification of logic, and troubleshooting for industrial control systems at our Dallas, TX facility. The role collaborates with engineering teams and vendors to upgrade and maintain system reliability.
The position requires on-site work in Dallas with no relocation assistance. Candidates should have a strong background in Allen-Bradley/Schneider PLCs, SCADA, and industrial networking, plus
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related field.
- 3+ years of PLC programming and industrial automation experience; water/wastewater experience preferred.
- ISA CCST Analyst II or equivalent; vendor PLC certs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Schneider) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform programming and logic modifications for PLCs and OITs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues.
- Ensure compliance with TRA standards and cybersecurity requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, operations and vendors for upgrades and integration.
- Lead in-house upgrades and new installations.
- Be available as essential personnel for scheduled or emergency operations.
