Job summary

The Ice Rink Maintenance Technician at Sun Valley Resort is responsible for the daily operations and upkeep of the Sun Valley Resort Ice Rink, including maintaining ice surfaces, operating the refrigeration system, and setting up ice shows. No prior experience is required—training is provided for the right candidate.

Duties include operating resurfacing equipment, performing routine maintenance, monitoring the refrigeration system, cleaning the rink, and assisting with ice show setup.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Be able to stand for prolonged periods.
• Must safely move objects up to approximately 45 pounds.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate ice resurfacing equipment to maintain high-quality ice surfaces.
• Perform routine maintenance on ice rink equipment and facilities.
• Monitor and operate the ice rink refrigeration system.
• Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of the rink area.
• Assist with ice show setup and operations.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
