Job summary

The City of Monona is seeking a friendly rink attendant for RiverRink outdoor ice skating and Below Deck concession stands. Responsibilities include greeting guests, collecting admission, handling cash, assisting with skate rentals, and keeping the concession area clean and orderly.

The role requires excellent customer service, basic arithmetic for cash handling, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. No benefits are available for this position.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 14 years of age.
• Must have experience in cash handling, including knowledge of basic addition and subtraction.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet patrons and assist at the admission stand; check season passes and collect fees.
• Supervise the concession stand and enforce rules for safe, orderly conduct.
• Assist patrons with skate rental needs and answer questions.
• Provide directions and respond to emergencies; report issues to supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of the concession stand and surrounding areas; perform light snow cleanup.
• Operate cash register, accept payments, and make change; manage the cash drawer.
• Take concession orders and prepare, store, and serve food per health regulations.
