Job summary

Canlan Ice Sports in Dundee, FL is seeking an Ice Maintenance Person (non-ticketed) to perform routine facility upkeep and regular ice flooding. The role centers on ice resurfacing and edging using an Ice Resurfacer, plus janitorial duties and general maintenance of the arena and ancillary areas.

You will work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and bring prior experience with ice resurfacing equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating ice resurfacing equipment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Trade or janitorial experience is an advantage.
• Organised and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks to keep facility compliant with codes.
• Ice Resurfacer operation and ice maintenance tasks.
• Ice chopping/spudding and leveling the ice.
• Ice painting and dasher board repairs.
• Replace arena glass and repair fixtures.
• Janitorial duties and floor care per procedures.
• Ensure entrances, grounds and parking areas are clean and safe.
• Maintain maintenance checklists and equipment safety checks.
