Job summary

The Magnum Ice Cream Company is seeking a Project Engineer to drive capital delivery and manufacturing transformation at the Covington site. You will lead end-to-end projects across safety, quality, capacity, automation, and digital manufacturing, guiding teams through concept to handover.

You’ll partner with manufacturing, safety, quality, and maintenance to deliver practical, scalable solutions while advancing the site’s automation roadmap and asset performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in food manufacturing, consumer products, FMCG, or similar environment.
• Proven experience leading capital projects: scope, budget, commissioning, handover.
• Experience with automation, controls, process systems, utilities, packaging, or digital manufacturing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital and transformation projects to improve safety, quality, throughput, reliability and cost performance.
• Manage scope development, budgeting, scheduling, contractor oversight, risk mitigation and performance tracking.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, R&D and site leadership to deliver scalable engineering solutions.
• Develop and implement automation, controls, and digital manufacturing solutions including line modernization and data-enabled improvements.
• Oversee construction, installation, commissioning and startup activities to meet performance standards.
• Champion engineering governance and continuous improvement while shaping the site capital/automation roadmap.
