Job summary

The Magnum Ice Cream Company is seeking a Project Engineer at our Covington site to lead end‑to‑end capital projects across safety, quality, capacity, automation, and digital manufacturing.

You will provide technical leadership through concept to handover, partnering with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Safety, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver reliable, future‑ready operations. Strong communication and project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, chemical, automation or controls).
• 7+ years of engineering experience in food manufacturing or similar industry.
• Experience leading capital projects including scope, budget, contractor oversight, commissioning.
• Experience with automation, controls, process systems, packaging, or digital manufacturing.
• Strong communication to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of capital and transformation projects to improve safety, quality, throughput, reliability, and cost.
• Drive project execution from feasibility through commissioning, including scope, budget, schedule, and risk.
• Partner across Manufacturing, Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, R&D, and leadership.
• Lead automation, controls, and digital manufacturing initiatives for line modernization.
• Identify and deploy robotics, smart instrumentation, and connected systems where value is created.
• Develop concept, FEED, and detailed design packages reflecting constraints and operability.
• Oversee construction, commissioning, and start‑up to ensure safety and performance.
• Champion governance and continuous improvement for long‑term capital roadmap.
