Job summary

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream is seeking a dedicated machine operator to run assigned lines with precision, ensuring quality, safety, hygiene and minimizing waste. The role requires understanding the machinery, following SOPs, and contributing to production targets.

You will work on a fast-paced line, collaborate with maintenance and shifts, and uphold strict hygiene standards while supporting continuous improvement and safety culture across the operation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines following standard operating procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and prevent water damage.
• Understand basic ice cream processes and the "why" behind actions.
• Minimize water use during cleaning with the clean-as-you-go principle.
• Set up and store all equipment properly.
• Coordinate with maintenance and next shift to report faults.
• Drive production to meet customer specifications and food safety.
• Meet production targets through effective control of the manufacturing process.
• Communicate effectively with the team.
• Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards.
