Job summary

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is hiring part-time Scoopers to join our Hudson St ice cream shop in Manhattan, NY. Our Scoopers are ambassadors who bring hospitality to life in every guest interaction. The ideal candidate loves ice cream and thrives in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.

Pay starts at $17.00 per hour with an average of an additional $7 per hour in tips. Availability for at least three shifts per week and the ability to work past 12am are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Available to work 3 days a week, including nights and weekends past 12 am.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly, with enthusiasm and genuine hospitality.
• Scoop and serve guests all menu items while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
• Educate guests on flavors, ingredients and special offerings.
• Prepare all fresh, house made menu items daily.
• Operate the Square POS System for a seamless guest checkout process.
• Follow all food safety procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain store cleanliness and sanitation.
• Complete daily tasks including stocking, inventory and cleaning.
• Adhere to Van Leeuwen's safety, grooming, uniform, and conduct standards.
