Job summary

Legends Global's Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA seeks an Ice Technician Supervisor to manage all ice operations, safety, and performance for games, practices, and events. You will lead a team of ice technicians, coordinate with facilities management, and ensure world-class playing conditions while maintaining equipment and environmental controls.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires extensive ice maintenance experience, supervisory ability, and knowledge of AHL/NHL standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years ice maintenance experience.
• At least 3 years supervising an ice operations team.
• Extensive knowledge of AHL/NHL ice standards and arena ops.
• Experience operating Olympia and/or Zamboni resurfacing equipment.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC, and ice making.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and long shifts during events.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily ice operations for games, practices, and events.
• Maintain AHL-caliber ice through resurfacing, flooding, and temperature control.
• Operate and maintain Zamboni resurfacing equipment safely.
• Monitor brine/glycol temps, humidity, and environmental conditions.
• Coordinate ice conversions for different events while protecting ice integrity.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs.
• Supervise and train Ice Technicians and Ice Crew.
• Maintain inventory of paints, blades, tools, and supplies.
• Prepare operational reports and equipment docs.
• Lead the Ice Operations team and promote safety and teamwork.
