Job summary

City of Creve Coeur is hiring an Ice Arena Building Maintenance Technician to keep the facility clean, safe, and well‑functioning for residents and visitors. The role includes ice maintenance, monitoring the ammonia system, and coordinating repairs and preventive measures.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent;1+ year related experience preferred. Training provided. Work schedule is Monday‑Friday with potential for flexible and emergency calls, in the Recreation Department.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• One or more years of related experience preferred, but training will be provided.
• Basic computer skills are required to send/receive emails, write memorandums and generate reports using Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to perform general maintenance (carpentry, electrical, plumbing).
• Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ice maintenance: maintain ice surface and prep ice edger.
• Monitor ammonia ice system; maintain daily logs.
• Perform general repairs around the facility (electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Complete maintenance checklist and document repairs needed.
• Purchase supplies following department procedures.
• Clean the facility and manage room setups.
