Job summary

The Oak Lawn Park District is seeking a part-time Maintenance / Custodian for the Ice Arena. The role involves cleaning and routine maintenance of the Ice Arena and surrounding grounds, under the supervision of the Ice Arena Facility Supervisor.

CPR and First Aid certification are required. The position offers up to 20 hours per week, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with setup and takedown for rentals and programs.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and basic tools.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have decision making skills.
• Must be able to take the initiative with tasks.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must be able to organize and prioritize duties.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, washes floors, walls, and windows.
• Cleans restrooms and replenishes supplies.
• Empties waste receptacles and facility trash.
• Changes light bulbs and cleans adjacent grounds for litter.
• Cleans and maintains locker and shower rooms.
• Setup and takedown for facility rentals and events.
• Checks daily facility schedule and ensures proper setup.
