Job summary

Kleinfelder seeks a Special Inspector for its Central and Northern California offices. You will perform field inspection and material testing of soils and concrete, verify conformance to plans, and prepare daily reports for project teams.

Ideal candidates will have relevant certifications or the ability to obtain them within 60 days, own a vehicle, and be willing to travel across the Bay Area. High school diploma required; strong initiative a must.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting construction plans and specs.
• Ability to travel across the Bay Area for field inspections.
• Prior certification in concrete testing or inspection is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field.
• Prepare daily reports and data sheets documenting activities.
• Coordinate with owner and contractor teams to verify conformance.
