Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage & Extra-Contractual Litigation Attorney to join its Denver practice. This role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated insurance disputes in both state and federal court while taking meaningful ownership of cases and working directly with clients.
Handle complex insurance coverage and extra-contractual litigation in state and federal court
Litigate first- and third-party property and casualty coverage disputes
Handle matters involving professional liability, UM/UIM coverage, and bad faith claims
Gain exposure to life, health, and disability insurance matters
Independently manage litigation and develop case strategy
Formulate and implement discovery plans
Take and defend depositions
Evaluate potential insurance liability and coverage exposure
Prepare detailed case assessments and evaluations for clients
3+ years of litigation experience
Experience litigating insurance coverage and/or extra-contractual matters
Experience with first- or third-party property and casualty insurance disputes
Background involving bad faith, professional liability, UM/UIM, or related insurance matters
Ability to independently manage litigation and competing caseload demands
Strong deposition and discovery experience
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Strong academic credentials
Active Colorado Bar admission required
Sophisticated insurance coverage and bad faith litigation
Complex matters in both state and federal court
Significant ownership over discovery, depositions, strategy, and case evaluation
