Compensation
- Base salary: $140,000–$200,000, depending on experience

About the Opportunity
An established Denver litigation firm is seeking a Senior Attorney to join its insurance defense practice.
This is an opportunity for an experienced attorney who enjoys managing cases independently, developing litigation strategy, working directly with clients and carriers, and handling matters from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities
- Independently manage a docket of insurance defense matters
- Develop litigation strategy and evaluate case exposure
- Handle discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, and hearings
- Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial proceedings as needed
- Communicate directly with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and experts
- Maintain case budgets, deadlines, and reporting requirements
Required Skills
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- 5+ years of meaningful civil litigation experience.
- Experience managing cases through multiple stages of the litigation lifecycle.
Preferred Skills
- Insurance defense or other defense-side, risk-oriented civil litigation experience.
- Full-lifecycle case ownership from evaluation through settlement or trial.
- Discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
- Client/carrier reporting with practical legal recommendations.
- Independent docket and caseload management.
- Experience in adjacent practices such as product liability, professional liability, commercial litigation, real estate litigation, employment litigation, public entity defense, premises liability, personal injury defense, coverage disputes, first-party property, or bad faith.
- Strong legal writing and oral advocacy.
- Ability to manage deadlines, case strategy, client communication, and litigation matters independently.
