Job summary

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a docket of insurance defense matters.
• Develop litigation strategy and evaluate case exposure.
• Handle discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, and hearings.
• Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial proceedings as needed.
• Communicate directly with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and experts.
• Maintain case budgets, deadlines, and reporting requirements.

Compensation

• Base salary: $140,000–$200,000, depending on experience
• Performance bonus opportunity: $30,000–$50,000+

This is an opportunity for an experienced attorney who enjoys managing cases independently, developing litigation strategy, working directly with clients and carriers, and handling matters from inception through resolution.

• Discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Client/carrier reporting with practical legal recommendations.
• Independent docket and caseload management.
• Experience in adjacent practices such as product liability, professional liability, commercial litigation, real estate litigation, employment litigation, public entity defense, premises liability, personal injury defense, coverage disputes, first-party property, or bad faith.
• Strong legal writing and oral advocacy.
• Ability to manage deadlines, case strategy, client communication, and litigation matters independently.
