Job summary

CAMS is seeking an IC&E Engineer/Technician to maintain and repair instruments, control systems and electrical equipment at a 245 MW Pace, Florida natural gas facility. The role covers diagnostics, calibration, and outage planning in a demanding power plant environment.

You'll work with DCS/PLC systems, HV/MV distribution, and Maximo for work orders and records, ensuring safe and reliable operation. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; instrument technician training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Instrument Technician program preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in a combined cycle power plant or similar environment preferred.
• Equivalent 4+ years in related role may be considered in lieu of formal training.
• Experience with DCS/PLC systems and high/medium voltage is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment including transmitters, PLCs, DCS, and instrument loops.
• Maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment such as transformers, switches, motors, and distribution systems.
• Install, inspect, remove, and maintain electrical and control equipment; perform preventive maintenance and calibration.
• Troubleshoot DCS/PLC/turbine control systems to ensure reliable plant operation.
• Plan, schedule, and execute outages and maintenance projects; manage work orders in Maximo.
