Job summary

CAMS is seeking an Instrumentation Controls and Electrical (IC&E) Engineer/Technician for a 245 MW natural gas facility in Pace, FL. The role focuses on maintenance, repair, calibration, and testing of control systems and electrical equipment to ensure uninterrupted plant operation.

Required are a high school diploma (Instrument Technician program preferred) and 2+ years in a similar setting; 4+ years may substitute. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Instrument Technician program preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in a combined cycle power plant or similar environment preferred.
• Equivalent experience (4+ years in related field) may offset formal training.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment, including transmitters, PLCs, DCS, loops, and monitoring systems.
• Maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment such as transformers, relays, switches, motors, generators, and distribution systems.
• Install, inspect, remove, and maintain electrical and control equipment, including wiring and storage batteries.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, calibrating and adjusting as needed.
• Troubleshoot DCS/PLC systems to ensure reliable plant operation.
• Plan, schedule, and execute outages and maintenance projects.
• Generate and close work orders; manage inventory using Maximo.
