Job summary
IC&E Tech, located near Las Vegas, NV, seeks an experienced instrumentation and electrical technician for a 90MW natural gas-fired plant. You will maintain pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters, troubleshoot control systems, and perform calibration and testing across 24/7 operations.
The role requires a technical degree in electronics/industrial control and at least 3 years of related experience. A strong safety focus and ability to read P&IDs are essential.
Qualifications
- 3 years of instrumentation experience in an industrial control environment; power generation preferred.
- 3 years’ experience as an electrician with medium/high voltage equipment; power generation preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret plant diagrams and electrical drawings.
- Willingness to work 24/7 with night shifts as required.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and calibrate plant instrumentation; perform routine maintenance.
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical equipment up to 13.8 kV.
- Maintain compliance with NFPA 70E and OSHA electrical codes.
- Operate and condition the Emerson Ovation DCS and related systems.
- Train site personnel on electrical switching and safety procedures.
- Support regulatory reporting and plant safety initiatives.
