Job summary

CAMS is seeking an Instrumentation Controls & Electrical Engineer/Technician for our Pace, FL facility. The role covers maintenance and repair of instruments, control systems, and electrical equipment in a combined cycle power plant, with exposure to high voltage systems in a safe, regulated environment.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma and preferably an Instrument Technician program, with 2+ years in a similar setting (or 4+ years with equivalent experience).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Accredited Instrument Technician program preferred.
• 2+ years in a combined cycle power plant or similar environment preferred.
• 4+ years in related role may substitute for formal training.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment.
• Maintain transformers, relays, switches, motors, generators, and HV distribution systems.
• Plan, schedule, and execute outages and maintenance projects.
• Generate work orders and manage Maximo records.
• Assist with spare parts inventory and supplier coordination.
• Support plant safety and regulatory compliance.
