Job summary

CU*Answers seeks an IBM Power I System (iSeries) Administrator to oversee and maintain IBM iSeries systems for internal and client operations. Role emphasizes high availability, system integrity, and performance, with expertise in replication, object audits, and disaster recovery.

The ideal candidate applies independent judgment to complex tasks, balancing priorities and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Travel to multiple locations across the United States is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in business, IT, or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of IBM Power I Systems (iSeries/AS/400) experience including networks and PC systems.
• Experience with Windows, Ethernet, TCP/IP, SDCL/SNA, WAN/LAN, HMCs.
• Knowledge of data communications and security basics.
• Willingness to travel across the United States for client sites and business needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for application and hardware problem resolution on IBM Power I Systems (AS/400).
• Manage, configure, and maintain IBM Power I systems for CU*Answers and clients.
• Execute high availability, replication, object audits, and DR rollover exercises.
