Job summary

Banner University Medical Group in Los Angeles seeks an accomplished IBD Specialist to lead our inflammatory bowel disease program. The role combines strategic leadership, patient-centered care, and translational research within a collaborative academic environment.

You will mentor junior faculty and fellows, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and maintain an active IBD clinical practice, while shaping innovative educational and research initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with board certification in Gastroenterology and eligible for AZ licensure.
• Proven excellence in IBD clinical care and academic scholarship.
• Strong record of clinical and/or translational research in IBD.
• Leadership experience and commitment to mentorship and team development.
• Eligibility for appointment at Assistant/Associate Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the IBD program including clinical operations, research initiatives, and education.
• Develop a multidisciplinary, patient-centered IBD care model.
• Lead and grow a clinical research program supported by institutional infrastructure.
• Mentor junior faculty, fellows, and trainees in practice, academics, and research.
• Collaborate with surgery, pathology, and radiology to ensure integrated care.
• Maintain active clinical practice in IBD.
• Collaborate on strategic planning with the Division Chief of Gastroenterology/Hepatology.
