Job summary

Banner University Medical Group in Phoenix is seeking an IBD Specialist to lead our Division of Gastroenterology/Hepatology. This academic physician-scientist role combines clinical leadership, translational research, and mentorship within a collaborative, innovative environment.

You will shape patient-centered IBD care, expand multidisciplinary models, and drive surgical, pathology, and radiology collaborations while maintaining an active clinical practice.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with board certification in Gastroenterology required.
• Eligible for AZ licensure.
• Established track record in IBD clinical care and academic scholarship.
• Experience leading clinical trials or translational research preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the IBD program across clinical operations, research, and education.
• Develop a multidisciplinary, patient-centered IBD care model.
• Lead a robust clinical research program with institutional support.
• Mentor junior faculty, fellows, and trainees in practice, academics, and research.
• Collaborate with surgery, pathology, and radiology to ensure integrated care.
• Maintain active clinical practice in IBD.
• Partner with the Division Chief for strategic planning and growth.
