Job summary

Takeda's Gastrointestinal and Inflammation (GI2) Drug Discovery Unit in Cambridge, MA is assembling a team of experienced researchers to deliver an industry-leading portfolio of drugs for GI, autoimmune, and inflammatory diseases.

You will provide technical leadership for project implementation from conception through candidate selection, generate rigorous data, and contribute scientific insight within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• PhD in a scientific discipline (or MS with 6+ years relevant experience)
• Demonstrated accomplishments in inflammation and/or immunology research; IBD experience is a plus
• Strong expertise in molecular biology, cell biology, and immunology; experience with cell-based and biochemical assays
• Hands-on experience with flow cytometry, primary human immune cells and fibroblasts, cytokine analysis, qPCR, and gene editing (CRISPR/siRNA)
• Experience developing in vitro assays to characterize potency and mechanism of action
• Experience in in vivo efficacy, pharmacology, and MoA studies in rodent models
• Ability to design experiments independently and collaborate in a matrixed team
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills
