Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited in Cambridge, MA, seeks a Global Therapeutic Research Lead (GTRL) to drive multi-project drug discovery strategies from target to clinic. The role sits on the GI DDU Leadership Team and requires steering Top 10 projects with high clinical and commercial potential.

You will mentor teams, integrate new strategies, collaborate with Clinical Development and Commercial stakeholders, and build external partnerships to sustain a high-quality IND flow every year.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading drug discovery teams and managing drug discovery projects.
• 10–12 years industry expertise within Immunology and Inflammation with global management experience.
• Proven track record delivering INDs and asset strategy.
• Experience collaborating across matrixed organizations and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more Top 10 drug discovery projects from target to preclinical development.
• Own project strategy in partnership with internal stakeholders.
• Shape portfolio strategy and advise on Top 10 project selections.
• Represent core expertise across the project and align with Clinical Development and Commercial teams.
• Mentor and grow global project teams to elevate drug discovery capabilities.
