Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Current RN license in Illinois
- International Board‑Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in maternal/child nursing.
Responsibilities
- Perform expert lactation assessments and skills within scope of practice
- Develop and implement feeding plans (breastfeeding, pumping, supplementation)
- Monitor and evaluate quality and safety issues related to lactation practices.
