Job summary

Greif, Inc. is hiring for a 2nd shift Blow Mold Operator in Alsip, IL. Under direct supervision, you will perform entry-level assembly machine operation and setup for bottle production.

Typical duties include inspecting finished bottles, conducting changeovers, and ensuring quality control. The role requires a high school diploma and up to 2 years of related experience, with a pay rate of $27.55 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries.
• Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receives bottles from blow molder, inspects visually, removes flashes, checks contamination and weight.
• Performs changeovers, installs metal head on bottle and conducts leak tests.
• Grinding of flash and rejected parts.
• Performs housekeeping duties such as sweeping, storing product, materials, tooling and supplies.
• Pallet jack usage to transport product to designated areas.
