Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an experienced Blow Mold Machine Operator for Woodridge, IL. This direct hire role requires operating, setting up, adjusting and troubleshooting blow molding equipment in a plastics manufacturing environment.

The position demands proficiency in mold changes, temperature and pressure control, and routine documentation of production data. Experience with Bekum, Uniloy, Graham, Fischer, or Sterling equipment is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3 years of blow molding experience.
• Experience with extrusion blow molding strongly preferred.
• Machine setup and changeover experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with plastic resins such as HDPE, LDPE, PP, PET, PETG, or PVC preferred.
• Experience with Bekum, Uniloy, Graham, Fischer, Sterling, or similar equipment is a plus.
• Available for 2nd or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate blow molding machines.
• Perform machine startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
• Complete mold and tooling changes.
• Monitor and adjust temperatures, pressures, speeds, cooling, and cycle times.
• Troubleshoot machine and product quality issues.
• Identify defects and make appropriate process adjustments.
• Monitor material and resin flow.
• Perform minor mechanical adjustments and basic troubleshooting.
• Inspect finished products for quality and consistency.
• Document production, scrap, and downtime.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.
