Prospect Schools is seeking a SY 26-27 6-8 Reading Interventionist to provide engaging, inclusive literacy instruction and targeted support that helps students strengthen reading skills, build confidence, develop critical thinking abilities, and foster a lifelong love of learning in a diverse IB-aligned setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with the science of reading.
• SpEd certification is highly preferred.
• In process of earning or have earned NY Teaching License Certification.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver culturally responsive literacy lessons for a diverse classroom.
• Teach MS Reading Enrichment daily and ES literacy support with small groups.
• Use data to plan objective-driven instruction to advance student learning.
• Collaborate with co-teachers and instructional leaders to support growth.
• Create a warm, respectful learning environment and set routines.
• Work across grade/content teams to improve teaching and student outcomes.
