Job summary

F5 is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to secure FedRAMP and commercial infrastructure, focusing on IAM for FedRAMP environments. You will configure, troubleshoot, automate workflows, and maintain documentation for secure identity services as part of a follow-the-sun team.

The role requires IAM experience in FedRAMP-authorized settings, scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and collaboration across distributed teams. On-call duties and strong writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or 4+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Experience onboarding and supporting users and applications in FedRAMP-authorized environments; IL4/IL5 is a strong plus.
• Experience managing IAM workflows including provisioning, deprovisioning, and auditing RBAC systems.
• Familiarity with IdP systems such as Okta and Entra ID.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, FISMA, and DISA STIGs.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience designing automation pipelines for deployment and integration.
• IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Hands-on AWS and GCP IAM experience; service accounts, roles, security policies.

Responsibilities

• IAM Operations: manage access provisioning, deprovisioning, permissions updates, and escalations.
• Ticket handling: resolve IAM tickets via Jira, GitLab, ServiceNow; meet SLAs.
• Automation: write scripts to automate provisioning, compliance reporting, and routine IAM tasks.
• Build automation pipelines with IAM/engineering teams for deployments and workflows.
• Documentation: maintain clear docs for IAM workflows and scripts.
• IdP migrations & consolidation: migrate IdPs and consolidate IAM systems during M&A.
• Monitoring: use Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk to monitor IAM health.
• On‑Call: participate in rotations; respond to urgent IAM outages.
