Job summary

State Farm is seeking an Identity & Access Control Analyst with a software development background to join the Authorization Management team. The role spans across enterprise IAM, building automation, and designing RBAC to enforce least privilege across human and non-human identities.

Hybrid work environment with hub locations including Richardson, TX. The candidate will design and implement IAM solutions, integrate data sources, and ensure secure APIs and auditability while supporting delivery

Qualifications

• Prior software development experience.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• App development tools: editors, compilers.
• CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Frameworks: React, Angular.
• Spring Framework: Spring/Spring Boot.
• Source control: Git/GitLab.
• Knowledge of design patterns, testing, and security scanning.
• Scripting: Perl, Python, PowerShell, Bash, NodeJS, JS/TS.
• Strong communication to relay complex tech.
• API development/testing tools: Bruno, Insomnia.
• Credential management: Vault, AWS Secrets Manager.
• IDE: Visual Studio, IntelliJ IDEA.

Responsibilities

• Develop, automate, and support IAM tools.
• Develop and test end-to-end information security solutions.
• Document IAM strategy and procedures.
• Apply IAM concepts per standards, governance, and compliance.
• Research IAM topics, threats, and solution options.
• Collaborate with technology teams to integrate IAM into solutions.
• Design RBAC roles to support security access models.
• Maintain knowledge of AWS, new platforms, Agile, and DevOps.
• Build access certification workflows and integrations.
• Ensure auditability and evidence retention for access reviews.
• Participate in product delivery including stories, testing, deployments, and production support.
• Protect sensitive identity and access data with controls and encryption.
• Handle service tickets and communications with business partners.
