Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to drive IAM initiatives across the enterprise. You will translate business requirements into technical roadmaps, coordinating across infrastructure, security, and applications teams to deliver value on time and within scope.

You will manage platform migrations, policy implementations, and new capabilities in IAM, partnering with architects and engineers to ensure compliant, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IAM platforms/architectures (Okta, AD, PAM, IGA) and identity governance controls.
• Advanced project management skills (planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk) with Agile/Waterfall/hybrid experience.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and ability to translate technical architecture into business context.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related field.
• 10+ years in project/program management; 5+ years managing IAM, security, or enterprise IT projects.
• 3+ years hands-on with enterprise IAM platforms (Okta, Saviynt, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Define project charters and scope for IAM initiatives, breaking implementations into workstreams and phases.
• Develop schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates with technical leads.
• Establish success criteria and KPIs aligned with business objectives.
• Lead governance boards and steering committee reviews; communicate status to technical and business audiences.
• Coordinate across infrastructure, security, applications, and business teams, managing dependencies and escalations.
• Provide technical project leadership on platform implementations (Okta, CyberArk, Saviynt).
• Track and manage technical workstreams from design through deployment.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure solutions meet requirements and compliance.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; develop change management plans.
• Plan and manage cutover activities, rollbacks, and post-implementation reviews.
• Coordinate training and documentation for operations and support teams.
• Develop runbooks and procedures for new capabilities.
• Monitor value realization and drive process improvements in IAM delivery.
