Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel seeks an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead IAM initiatives, translating requirements into roadmaps and coordinating across security, infrastructure, and applications. You will ensure on‑time, on‑scope delivery and hands‑on IAM governance.

The role blends business delivery and technical architecture, overseeing platform migrations to Okta, Saviynt, and CyberArk, with exposure to AD, PAM, and IGA.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in project/program management; IAM or enterprise IT projects.
• 3+ years hands‑on with enterprise IAM platforms (Okta, Saviynt, or equivalent).
• Proven success leading complex multi‑team IAM migrations and platform migrations.
• Strong knowledge of IAM governance standards (NIST, CIS, SOC 2) and zero‑trust.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate technical architecture into business context.

Responsibilities

• Define project charters and scope for IAM initiatives, breaking implementations into manageable workstreams and phases.
• Develop schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates with technical leads.
• Establish success criteria and KPIs aligned with business objectives.
• Lead governance boards and steering committee reviews.
• Communicate status, risks, and decisions to technical and business audiences.
• Coordinate across infrastructure, security, applications, and business teams, managing dependencies and escalations proactively.
• Provide technical project leadership on platform implementations (Okta, CyberArk, Saviynt, etc.).
• Track and manage technical workstreams from design through deployment.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure solutions meet requirements, standards, and compliance.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
• Develop and execute change management plans for organizational transitions.
• Plan and manage cutover activities, rollbacks, and contingencies, supporting post‑implementation review.
• Coordinate training and documentation for operations and support teams.
• Develop operational runbooks and procedures for new capabilities.
• Support knowledge transfer and team readiness.
• Track and report project metrics (schedule variance, budget variance, scope adherence).
• Monitor value realization against post‑implementation targets.
• Identify and implement process improvements in IAM delivery.
