Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team building core storage components for the IAM Control Plane.

You will own the design, development and delivery of high‑availability authentication services and fleet management workloads, while driving performance and reliability across global services. You will recruit and mentor engineers, partner with product and program teams, and communicate progress to senior leadership in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading an engineering team.
• 7+ years direct engineering experience.
• 3+ years designing scalable, high‑reliability systems.
• 8+ years leading multi‑tier web services.
• Knowledge of full SDLC practices.
• Experience partnering with product or program management.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver long‑term IAM control plane strategy.
• Own low‑latency, high‑availability authentication services.
• Recruit, hire, and coach a top engineering team.
• Communicate progress to senior leadership.
• Improve operational metrics and automation tools.
