Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a proactive Identity Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join our Information Security team in the United States.

You will design, implement, and optimize IAM processes, manage user credentials and entitlements, and partner with HR and IT to strengthen security controls across enterprise apps and infrastructure. The role emphasizes strong technical skills in SailPoint IdentityNow, Microsoft Entra, scripting, and governance frameworks, with a focus on SOX,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years of IAM or IT security experience with hands-on SailPoint IdentityNow and Microsoft Entra.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, JavaScript, and TypeScript; REST/SOAP APIs and JSON experience.
• Knowledge of RBAC/ABAC, SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, and GRC practices; strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IAM controls, provisioning/de-provisioning workflows, and access reviews.
• Collaborate with HR to align IAM with employee lifecycle events.
• Identify and resolve IAM gaps in processes and configurations.
• Provide operational support for MFA, Active Directory, and IdM platforms.
• Respond to IAM incidents and ensure timely resolution.
