Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an Instrumentation/Electrical Technician to provide skilled support for control systems across our gas and liquid facilities. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on SCADA, PLC/DCS, and related equipment in pipelines and compression stations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, an on-site presence in Texas, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license with safe driving record.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Outlook and Word.
Experience with control-system software such as Wonderware, FactoryTalk, RSLogix, or DeltaV.
Knowledge of relevant DOT/OSHA standards and electrical safety.

Responsibilities

Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems, plant, pipeline, and compressor instrument and electrical equipment.
Maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments, electrical distribution, motor control gear, and associated software.
Support PLC or DCS systems and process or safety controls.
Read and interpret manuals, engineering standards, drawings, schematics and P&IDs.
Document testing and maintenance per regulatory requirements and schedules.
Provide on-call support and safety program participation.
Mentor and oversee junior technicians and contractors.
