Job summary

You will work with PLCs, DCS, and control systems; a high school diploma or trade training is required, along with proven experience. Strong problem‑solving, teamwork, and strict adherence to safety protocols are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as an Instrument and Electrical Technician.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, DCS, and control systems.
• Proficiency in using electrical and instrumentation tools and equipment.
• Must be knowledgeable in MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems
• Diagnose and repair electrical and instrumentation malfunctions promptly and efficiently
• Perform scheduled inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to enhance equipment performance
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Document maintenance and repair activities for record-keeping
• Stay current on industry best practices through training and professional development
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required
