Job summary

Renegade Process Controls, LLC is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Technician to support gas processing facilities in the Odessa, TX area. The role involves maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation devices, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and NEC standards.

The technician will work closely with engineers to ensure peak plant performance and reliability, read P&IDs, perform wiring and panel work, and travel to remote job sites in company

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in instrumentation and electrical technician roles, preferably oil & gas.
• Strong understanding of process instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level) and control systems.
• Familiarity with PLCs, transmitters, control valves, and loop tuning.
• Proficient with electrical systems and NEC standards.
• Ability to read P&IDs, loop diagrams, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, calibration, installation, and troubleshooting on instrumentation and control systems.
• Conduct electrical work per NEC standards, including wiring, conduit, and panel work.
• Support commissioning and startup activities for new or upgraded equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify and resolve performance or reliability issues.
• Maintain accurate records of work, inspections, repairs, and parts used.
• Adhere to safety procedures and company policies.
• Travel to remote job sites in a company vehicle as needed.
