Job summary

Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. is seeking a Specialist - I&E to oversee the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of process control systems for reciprocating, electric and turbine natural gas compressor units.

You will collaborate with field personnel to provide technical expertise, develop and support control schemes, maintain operating procedures, and contribute to safety, training, auditing, and capital project activities.

Qualifications

Associates degree in engineering or a Bachelor’s degree with six years of experience in the gas transmission field.
Two years of additional experience can substitute for a formal degree.
Past programming of PLCs, Lookout, Wonderware or other HMI systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Thorough knowledge of Company procedures and industry-related standards, codes and practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement control system logic to meet requirements in DeltaV - OPTO - AllenBradley.
Serve as lead on assigned projects or engineering assignments.
Provide day-to-day DCS and PLC automation support.
Create and maintain daily and custom automated production reports.
Promote safety by participating in safety programs and maintaining a safe working environment.
Develop or modify control logic to meet equipment changes and operating conditions.
Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures for Asset Management.
Advise management on safety-related matters to maintain an accident-free environment.
Participate in facility audits as the technical expert on adherence to standards and regulations.
Identify training resources and conduct training for Employee Qualification Program.
